Rs 5 lakhs cheque handed over to Pulwama Martyr Jaimal Singh’s wife on behalf of Punjab Government

The district administration on the behalf of the Punjab Government handed over a cheque of Rs 5 lakhs to the Martyr Jaimal Singh’s wife Sukhjit Kaur on the occasion of his first death anniversary organised at Gurdwara in Kot Isse Khan town here on Friday. Jaimal, a resident of Ghalauti village in Moga district was a head constable, Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF). He was driving the CRPF bus that was blown up by terrorists on February 14, 2019.Additional Deputy Commissioner ( ADC Development) Subhash Chander, Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) Dharamkot Narinder Singh Dhaliwal and District Sainik Welfare Board Officer Major (retd) Yashpal Singh handed over the cheque of Rs 5 lakh, a final instalment of total amount Rs 12 lakhs promised by the Punjab Government. Assistant Commander CRPF Jalandhar Ajay Kumar Sharma was also present.The officials also handed over a cheque of Rs 43,750, a part of the contribution of one day salary donated by Punjab Ministers, MLAs and IAS officers’ Association. A total of Rs 14.41 lakhs were raised by the Punjab Ministers, MLAs and IAS officers’ Association.ADC Development Subhash Chander while paying homage to the martyr assured every possible help from the district administration and Punjab Government to the family of Martyr Jaimal Singh.Meanwhile, on the request by the family, the job to be given to the family member has been reserved for the Martyr’s six-years-old son Gurparkash.
