DDC felicitates Sarpanch Vijay Raina

District Developmental Commissioner, Kulgam, Showkat Aijaz Bhat today felicitated Sarpanch Chowgam-A, Vijay Raina, who was recently best national award for “Jal Sangrah”  outstanding contribution in augmenting irrigation in his Panchayat, by Minister for Rural Development, Panchayati Raj, Agriculture and Forest, Government of India, Narender  Singh Tomar, at New Delhi.The award was given to him for the construction of irrigation channel under MGNREGA.The felicitation function was organised by Rural Development  Department Kulgam which was attended by ACD Mohammad Imran, BDC's, Sarpanchs and Panchs.Speaking on the occasion, the DDC congratulated the Sarpanch for receiving  National award and also underlined the role of PRI's in Development of their areas.
