DC Bandipora reviews progress under CAPEX

Deputy Commissioner, Bandipora Shahbaz Ahmad Mirza today chaired a meeting to review the progress registered under District CAPEX Budget, languishing projects and BADP.The meeting was attended by Joint Director Planning, Imtiyaz Ahmad and other senior officers of the district.It was given out that under special Capex Budget, an amount of Rs 80.78 Lakhs have been utilized till December out of the available Rs 4.81 crores, under various ongoing schemes and developmental projects.The meeting was informed that 79 projects have been approved under languishing projects,  funded by Jammu & Kashmir Infrastructure Development Finance Corporation (JKIDFC) Limited and an amount of Rs 151.89 Cr have been approved for the completion of these projects.Besides 21 R&B, 2 PDD and 4 Health and Medical Education projects have also been approved under the scheme.It was given out that in Back to Village Programme phase-I, the locals demanded 1162 works out of which one work from each Panchayat was taken up in the district. The Rural Development Department executed these works in convergence mode spending an amount of Rs 14.73 Crore.It was given out that an amount of Rs 27.18 Lakhs have also been spend under B2V programme to complete 149 approved works by the end of December 2019.The works are mostly meant for augmenting water and power supply, besides improving irrigation-flood control works and school education infrastructure.Speaking on occasion, the DC directed the officers and executing agencies to ensure completion of all works within stipulated time frame. He also stressed for regular field visits to ensure works are executed on time and under set quality parameters.He stressed upon the officers to work in coordination for achieving all the set targets.
