The IELTS centers and immigration agents of district Mansa, who are not sending their monthly reports to Deputy Commissioner Office in first week of every month, will face action. Those centers that do not follow the government orders will lose their licence. Besides this, the centers being run without any authorization or licence will end up facing police cases.Deputy Commissioner Mansa Apneet Riyait said while presiding over meeting convened to discuss status of IELTS and immigration agencies in Mansa during the monthly meeting. She directed the officers and employees to send notices to IELTS and immigration agencies who do not comply with the government orders. If the owners of these centers do not respond, the district administration will cancel their licences.Discussing the issue of not using plastic bags or single use plastics in government offices and functions, she directed that the usage of single use plastic should be completely stopped. Officers from Joga nagar panchayat reported that their area has been declared plastic free and that more efforts were being done to dissuade people from using plastic bags. Similarly, officers from other nagar councils and nagar panchayats reported that efforts were being done to create awareness against use of plastic, plastic bags were being confiscated in large quantities and heavy fine was being imposed on those selling plastic bags.Deputy Commissioner ordered that with the examination period of school and college students about start, complete care should be taken that no marriage palace be allowed to create noise pollution after the hours stipulated by Honorable Punjab and Haryana High Court. All the departments were directed to ensure that the utilization certificates of works done by them were as submitted with concerned authorities as soon as possible. Also all the officers have been directed to ensure that complaints pending with their departments should be resolved as per the rules in given time frame.She also took stock of ongoing works on distribution of subsidized wheat to smart card ration holders, old age, orphan, handicap and widow pension issued by the office of District Social Security Officer (DSSO), laying of roads by District Mandi Office, PWD B and R, works of drainage department, police cases and others.ADC (G) Mr Rajdeep Singh Brar, Assistant Commissioner Mr Navdeep Kumar, SDM Mansa Mrs Sarabjeet Kaur, SDM Sardulgarh Mr Rajpal Singh, SP Mr Kuldip Singh Sohi, DDPO Dinesh Vashisht, District Welfare Officer Jagsir Singh and other officers were also present.
