Vijay Inder Singla distributes computers, sewing machines to promote self employment

To promote self-employment in the rural areas, cabinet minister Punjab Mr. Vijay Inder Singla distributed computers and sewing machines to as many as 120 unemployed youth after the completion of their training program at village Shahpur in Bhawanigarh subdivision. On this occasion, the cabinet minister also directed the administrative officials to effectively implement the Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana (PMKVY) and other schemes of Punjab government as well to eradicate unemployment from the state.Mr. Vijay Inder Singla said that these courses have been aimed to polish the skills of the youth to help them to find out better employment opportunities. He said that as many as 32 courses in various streams were being run in the center at village Shahpur to train the youth in their respective interests. He added that under the Ghar Ghar Rozgar campaign, the Punjab Government is also ensuring employment for the youth in government and private sectors and also engaging them in self employment courses.The cabinet minister said that the needy youth joining these courses are also being benefited with the tricycles and cycles which would also help to pave a smoother way for their future self-employment plans. He added that the rural youth are full of energy and it only needs to be channelized in a positive manner and with the help of these training programs, they would soon be able to become successful entrepreneurs.
