Balbir Singh Sidhu inaugurates demonstration of grabbing machines for cleaning sewerage manholes at Lakhnaur

Work to be undertaken in Chachumajra, Mauli Baidwan, Chilla, Bakarpur also at cost of Rs. 2.93 Crore

The Health and Family Welfare, Labour Minister, Punjab, Mr. Balbir Singh Sidhu today kickstarted the demonstration of grabbing machines at village Lakhnaur for the purpose of cleaning sewerage manholes.The minister in his address on the occasion said that the main rationale behind this novel initiative is to ensure sanitation and desilting of sewerages. He also added that this initiative would also be undertaken in Mauli Baidwan, Chachumajra, Chilla, and Bakarpur villages apart from Lakhnaur at a cost of Rs. 2.93 Crore. He also divulged that the tie up would be made with GMADA to ensure the success of the project.The minister also distributed 8 sanction letters of old age pensions, 13 MGNREGA job cards, Sarbat Sehat Bima Yojna (SSBY) job cards to Lakhnaur residents besides handing over the list of 178 blue card beneficiaries to the panchayat of Lakhnaur. He also gave sanction letters regarding scholarships worth Rs.70,000 and assured that development works would be undertaken at the rapid pace in Mohali. It is worth mentioning that such development centric activities are implemented by the Lok Bhalai Kendar set up in phase one. Among other dignitaries present on the occasion included the Narinder Singh, Panchayat Member Amarjit Singh, Balkar Singh Panch, Gurmukh Nambardar, Sandeep Singh Jatt, Darbara Singh Gill, ex Sarpanch Satnam Singh, Pardeep Soni Punjab Dairy, Jaswinder Nambardar, Jagdev Singh, Chaman Lal Gurinder Gurie, Gian Singh Avtar Singh Billa, Sajjan Singh Gyani, Soni Daon, XEN Sahil Sharma, and SDO Public Health Simran.
