DC Bandipora inspects snow clearance operation in upper reaches

Deputy Commissioner Bandipora Shahbaz Ahmad Mirza today visited upper reaches of the district to inspect the snow clearance operation and to take stock of availability of essentials.The DDC visited Arin, Sumlar, Chuntimulla, Kudara, Aragam, Cheetibandi, Chapran, Gujarpatti, Garoora, Shokbaba, and adjoining areas to inspect snow clearance operation.En-route, he interacted with locals to get firsthand appraisal of the problems being faced by them. He said all the major roads and inner links have been cleared in the district and snow clearance operation is apace in the upper reaches.The DDC said 20 Snow clearance machines have been deployed in the district to clear the roads including nine of Mechanical Division, three of R&B department and four of Municipal Committees Sumbal and Bandipora.He said the power supply has been restored and sufficient stocks of essential commodities is available in the in the district including food grains, LPG, and other essentials.
