DDC Pulwama reviews implementation of Health schemes

District Development Commissioner Pulwama, Dr Raghav Langer today convened a meeting of officers to review Health Department schemes.The meeting was attended by Chief Medical officer, District Health Officer and other concerned officers.The meeting was informed that under Integrated Disease Surveillance Programme 173 reporting units have been set up in peripheral Institutions and 11 Viral Hepatitis, 11 Chicken Pox and 13 cases of enteric fever have been detected during 2019-20 in the district.The meeting was also informed that 55 samples of water were collected for quality surveillance and 42 MPN Coliform samples were found positive in the district.It was given out that DMHP conducted various activities to implement National Mental Health Programme in the district, besides conducting Modified Electro Convulsive and Brain Modulation therapies.The DDC asked the concerned for effective implementation of all health-related schemes so that better patient care services is provided to the people.He directed the concerned to share MPN Coliform sample’s positive results with PHE Department and District Administration for early required action.The DDC stressed for sensitizing people about Mental health and conducting workshops across the district.
