District Development Commissioner Kishtwar, Angrez Singh Rana today flagged off Motor Rally from District Headquarter Kishtwar with the slogan -“Sadak Suraksha- Jeewan Raksha" on the 5th day of 31st National Road Safety Week-2020.ARTO Kishtwar Er. Kuldeep Singh, DSP Hq. Sunny Gupta, Motor Vehicle Inspector Kishtwar Azad Hussain, DTI Kishtwar, SHO Kishtwar besides officials of MVD, Information department, Drivers, Driving Schools and other members from transport unions, police fraternity and civil administration were present on the occasion.The Motor rally was organised by Motor Vehicle Department Kishtwar which started from New DC Office Complex Kishtwar and passed through Wasser, Kuleed, Dak bungalow covering almost the whole city and culminated later at General Bus Stand Kishtwar to educate the people about rules and regulations of traffic movement.Speaking on the occasion, the DDC appealed to participants to spread awareness among people about safe driving, road safety and avoid the use of mobile phones while driving and also urged them to not break traffic rules, that have been formulated for their own benefit only.He further asked MVD Department to conduct such type of awareness programs on regular basis along with strict enforcement of traffic laws and appealed to the general public to cooperate in the mission of road safety.Further, MVD Kishtwar along with Police Department conducted   awareness/ counselling programme for commercial drivers at General Bus Stand Kishtwar to sensitize them about road safety measures, awareness of road safety, effective traffic management, maintenance of vehicle, avoid overloading of passengers vehicles, obedience of traffic rules and prevention and reduction of road accidents.Meanwhile, ARTO Kishtwar along with other officers presented a rose to traffic rule violators,  besides felicitated the traffic rule followers with "Road safe user medals".
