DDC Ramban finalizes arrangements for IPPI’s first round

District Development Commissioner Nazim Zai Khan today convened a meeting of District Task Force Committee to review the arrangements to ensure smooth conduct of first round of Intensified Pulse Polio Immunization 2020.CMO Dr, Janak Raj, Medical Superintendent Dr. JP Singh, BMOs, officers and officials of concerned departments besides the members of NGOs were also present in the meeting .Highlighting the need for absolute coverage during first round of IPPI, the DDC stressed on concerned to work in coordination and educate the people about the programme.The DDC also stressed on the need to involve ASHA and Anganwari workers, PRIs and prominent citizens to increase the outreach of the programme along with its effective implementation.During the meeting, it was informed that IPPI program is going to be held on 19th January, Polio National Immunization Day under which children between the age of 0-5 years will be given pulse polio drops.Deputy CMO gave a detailed account of IPPI Plan in respect of district and stressed upon all the members to cooperate in making this campaign a success. He informed that total target 0-5 years children are 65569.
