DDC Kulgam reviews implementation of social welfare, ICDS schemes

District Development Commissioner Kulgam, Showkat Aijaz Bhat, today convened a meeting of officers to review implementation of social welfare and ICDS schemes in the district.The meeting was attended by ADDC, ADC, SDM Noorabad, CPO, DSWO and other concerned officers.It was given out that under Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojna (PMMVY) Rupees 167.93 lakhs have been disbursed among beneficiaries through DBT mode, while under Beti Bacho Beti Padhao (BBBP) series of awareness programs were organized across the district by ICDS.The DSWO informed the meeting that under ISSS 23225 and NSAP 5391 beneficiaries are receiving monthly pension. He further said that under various scholarship programmes including Pre-matric, Post Matric and Merit cum Means Scholarships 37206 applicants have applied through online mode and the process is on.Besides under Marriage Assistance Scheme 2150 cases have been sanctioned and 1585 beneficiaries stand assisted and under AASRA 1747 beneficiaries have been covered so far.
