Jal Jeevan Mission : DDC Rajouri inaugurates one day workshop for frontline workers

The District Development Commissioner Rajouri Mohammad Nazir Sheikh today inaugurated one day workshop on implementation and modalities for carrying out the baseline survey for collection of data about the household where piped water connection is required.While speaking on the occasion, the DDC said that the task would be completed in coordination among the concerned departments and panchayati Raj institutions participation. Referring to the roadmap, he said that the inputs would be collected from the field by the frontline workers of RDD, Revenue and Food Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Department. The data so collected will help in developing and designing the infrastructure for successful implementation of JJM in the district.DDC exhorted upon the frontline workers from all departments to join hands to accomplish Jal Jeevan Mission in the district. He said that proper cooperation of the ground level workers is essential in achieving the desired results within already set deadlines. He asked them to collect basic data with respect to covered and uncovered households with tapped water connection and submit a final report within four days for the formulations of the DPRs.ADCs and tehsildars and BDOs have been directed to monitor the progress regarding the collection of required data.The workshop was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner Rajouri Sher Singh Additional Deputy Commissioner Nowshera Sukhdev Singh Samyal Additional Deputy Commissioner Kotranka Surinder Mohan Sharma Additional Deputy Commissioner Sunderbani Vinod Kumar Behnal, SE hydraulic, Muneesh Bhat Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Mohd Ashraf, Assistant Commissioner Development Sushil Khajuria, Sub Divisional Magistrate Thanamandi Tanveer Khan, Deputy Director planning Bilal Mir, EXN PHE Rajouri/Nowshera, EXN I&FC Rajouri, Assistant Director Food Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Mukhtar Ahmed Lone, Block Development Officers, Tehsildar, other district, Sectoral and frontline workers.
