DDC Anantnag reviews functioning of RDD

Emphasises on immediate execution of B2V2 prioritised works

To review the pace of progress under various central sponsored schemes including MGNREGA, convergence works, status of works under CD & Pyt. 2019 – 2020, PMAY & demands raised by the public during “Back to Village” Programme, the District Development Commissioner (DDC), Anantnag Khalid Jahangir chaired a meeting of officers of Rural Development Department (RDD), here today.The ACD Anantnag, Mohammad Aslam informed the meeting about the progress and achievements made in the district till date under MGNERGA, PMAY and works under 14th FC.He informed that under MGNREGA, against an allocation of Rs 138.69 Cr, a disbursement of Rs106.14 Cr. has been made for the 592 works, out of which 210 works have been completed.CD and Pyt. works taken up under MGNREGA during 2019-20 include 155 micro irrigation, 136 rural connectivity, 111 land development for playfields, 107 PMAY, 31 Flood Control & Protection, 23 rural sanitation, 21 Anganwadi and other rural infrastructure, 03 water conservation & water harvesting, 03 drought proofing and 02 works related to renovation of traditional water bodies.The ACD also informed that 256548 man-days have been generated till date and under CD & Pyt. 2019-2020 out of 80 works 70 works are coming up at 319.79 lacs.

Similarly, under PMAY against a target of 2315 houses 1st instalment of Rs.1156.50 lacs stand disbursed in favour of 2313 beneficiaries,  2nd instalment of Rs.1022.50 lacs in favour of 2045 beneficiaries, 3rd instalment of Rs.512.70 lacs in favour of 1709 beneficiaries.It was also given out in the meeting that under B2V Programme  807 demands were projected and 271 were taken up at an estimated cost of Rs.840.33 lacs.Regarding the renovation of Panchayat Ghars under RGSA in convergence with MGNREGA, work has been completed in Panchayat Bhawan Larkipora, Chittergul while as renovation work is under progress in Panchayat Bhawan Batkote.The meeting was informed that Rs. 18.54 lacs have been sanctioned which include Rs.16.00 lacs under RGSA and Rs.2.45 lacs under MGNERGA convergence for the renovation of Panchayat Ghars in the district.The DDC emphasised on creation of durable and sustainable rural infrastructure. He urged for early completion of works identified in Back to Village Programme.The meeting was attended by AD Planning, BDOs, Executive Engineers of various streams & other officers of Rural Development Department.
