DDC Anantnag convenes DLRC meet

District Development Commissioner (DDC) Anantnag, Mr.Khalid Jahangir who is also Chairman, District Level Review Cum Consultative Committee (DLRC) convened a meet to review the performance of banks and line departments for the quarter ended September-2019 under District Credit Action Plan 2019-20, here today.The meeting reviewed the progress achieved in agriculture and allied sectors, micro and small enterprises, priority & non-priority sectors.The meeting was informed that Rs 511193 lacs have been recorded in the district, while advances under various schemes have touched Rs 355090 lakh by the end of September 2019.The Lead District Manager, Anantnag Mr. Ali Mohammad Lone informed the meeting that against a credit target of Rs 2673.95  crore an advancement of Rs 910.78 crore have been made by various banks operating in the district for establishment of 18919 income generating units.The banks have extended priority sector credit of Rs.612.75 crores against the yearly target of Rs.2167.09 crore for 87717 beneficiaries under District Credit Action Plan 2019-2020.Under agriculture and allied sectors an advancement of Rs.347.81 crores, under micro and small enterprises Rs.612.75 crore and under non-priority sector an advancement of Rs.298.03 crore has been made till the end of September, 2019, he added.

The Director Rural Self Employment Training Institutes (RSETI), informed the meeting that 06 training programmes were conducted by RSETI, Bijbehara in which 137 candidates were imparted skill development training.For linking Aadhaar numbers with the bank accounts for availing benefits under different schemes, the banks have been directed to establish Aadhaar linkage centres under “Back to Village” Programme. It was also given out in the meeting that under KCC scheme against a target of 80525 farm operating families(FOF) loans in favour of  71487 FOF’s have been sanctioned till 30th September, 2019.The DDC instructed all the officers and banks to work in synergy so that tangible improvements are witnessed at the ground level.The DDC also emphasised the banks to focus on sanctioning loans under the high-density plantation and to involve unemployed youth under dairy, sheep farming, fish farming for which youth can avail the subsidy benefits under various welfare schemes being implementation in the district.He also stressed for establishment of agri-processing units, milk bulk plants animal, sheep husbandry and fisheries units.The DDC also directed the bankers to establish bank branches as demanded in the B2V Programmes for uncovered villages. He also asked for submitting list of uncovered areas to ensure 100 percent financial inclusion.Among others, JD Planning, ADGM NABARD, officers of Agriculture, Horticulture, Animal Husbandry, Sheep, KVIB, Industries, DUDA, NURLM, Handicrafts, Handlooms and other sectors besides, Director RSETI, Cluster Heads of J&K Bank, Anantnag, Representatives of SBI, PNB, YES Bank, Axis Bank, HDFC Bank, Canara Bank, EDBI & ACCB were present in the meeting.
