Directs registering all 16552 unconnected Households by March-2020 to achieve 100% coverage

District Development Commissioner Ganderbal, Hashmat Ali Khan today chaired the meeting of concerned officers to review the implementation of “Jal Jeevan Mission” in the District.While discussing the implementation of Jal Jeevan Mission, threadbare discussions were held on various issues like screening of all households who are unconnected with tapped water at Block/ Panchayats level, identification of completed and ongoing Water Supply Schemes (WSS) which can be taken up on top priority for providing functional household tapped connection (FHTC) by retrofitting, under New schemes and identification of schemes with physical progress more than 50% etc.The DDC laid emphasis that the targets of registering of 16552 No’s unconnected Household connections in all seven blocks of District Ganderbal should be achieved by March-2020. He also laid stress on that the Government has fixed target for providing of 100% drinking water supplies in the District, which should be strictly adhered to.DDC directed the executing department to conduct house to house survey of the unconnected households in close contact with the BDC Chairpersons, so that no one shall be left out in their respective Panchayats under the aforementioned scheme.Among others the meeting was attended by ADC Ganderbal, Ex. En PHE, CPO Ganderbal, and other concerned officers.
