Jai Ram Thakur urges students to join hands with State Govt. against drug abuse

People of the State especially people of Sirmour district have special love for their rich culture and traditions and never miss a chance to exhibit the same.This was stated by the Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur while addressing the cultural function ' Shan-E-Sirmour' organised by Sirmour Students Welfare Association at Gaiety Theatre, here today.Chief Minister said that event of such type not only provides entertainment to the youth but also help in preserving rich cultural heritage of the State. He also urged the students to join hands with the State Government to fight the menace of drug abuse.He announced Rs. one lakh from his discretionary fund to the Sirmaur Students Welfare Association.Speaker Vidhan Sabha Dr. Rajeev Bindal, Education Minister Suresh Bhardwaj, Vice Chairman, Food and Civil Supplies CorporationĀ Baldev Tomar, MLA Vishal Nehariya were present on the occasion.
