Ensure speedy completion of tourism dev’ projects in district : DDC Budgam

District Development Commissioner, Budgam Tariq Hussain Ganai today chaired a meeting of officers to review ongoing development projects under tourism sector and status of  development works at Doodpathri, Yousmarg and Tosamidaan tourist destinations.ADC Budgam Mushtaq Ahmad Simnani, SDMs, ExEns, AEEs, Revenue official, and  representatives of Yousmarg and Tosamaidan Development Authorities were also present in the meeting.During the meeting, the DDC stressed upon officers to ensure speedy  execution of developmental projects at all three tourist destinations in the district.DDC emphasized on the eco-friendly infrastructure building, sustainable public services, and  environmental impact assessment and better services to the tourists. He directed concerned to expedite all ongoing developmental projects particularly construction and repair of  roads, parks and public convenience at all three tourist destinations. During the meeting the DDC also reviewed the status of the master plan and urged on creating all the  required facilities, including bio-toilets, Google mapping, smooth connectivity, supply of electricity and drinking water facility at all the three destinations.He said that under  PMDP-2 Rs. 30 crore have been released for the construction of Tourist Facility Centre at Sitharan which will be taken up soon.He also called upon concerned to ensure strict  vigil and ensure that no encroachment takes place at any tourist destination in the district.
