Mansa villages soon to get Rs 2.45 cr grant under RDF : Bikram Mofar

More than 1000 stray cattle to be housed in upcoming cattle pounds at Budhlada, Sardulgarh, DC

All the villages of Mansa are soon being released the Rs 2.45 cr grant under Rural Development Fund (RDF) and another batch of Rs 9.66 cr under 14th Finance Commission. Besides this the villages that have not received even first installment of RDF grant will be given funds from other sources of government.Chairman Zila parishad Mansa  Bikram Mofar and Deputy Commissioner Mansa Apneet Riyait asserted while talking to sarpanches of different villages of district today.They said that besides this payments under NREGA too will be released soon. Those villages that have not received first installment of RDF funds will be allocated funds from different sources.Deputy Commissioner Mansa Mrs Apneet Riyait said that government was working hard on finding solution to the stray cattle menace. Under this two cattle pounds are coming up at Budhlada and Sardulgarh wherein more than 1000 cattle heads can be housed.Accepting demands of the sarpanches she asserted that the district administration will prepare a list of encroachments on panchayat land in villages that will also mention court cases pending in this connection. 

The lists populated will thence be used as reference and ensured that panchayats are extended all kind of help to panchayats for freeing their land from encroachments.Regarding cleanliness in villages she said that soon pilot project was being launched in district. Under this project 5 villages from each block are being selected where cleanliness will be started on new model. When successful it will be replicated in entire district.
