TCS organized Faculty Development Program at Guru Nanak Dev University

Multinational IT company Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) conducted Faculty Development Program at the Placement Department of the Guru Nanak Dev University. A large number of faculty and research scholars of Computer Engineering & Technology Department, Computer Science Department and Electronics & Communication Engg. Department participated in the Faculty Development Program.Mr. Apoorve Aggarwal, Head Service Management Practice, TCS, New Delhi and Mr. Rajit Sikka, Academic Manager North – TCS, New Delhi was the main speakers at the event. They talked about Business 4.0 and Cloud Infrastructure, which is one of the emerging topic these days in the IT World. The topic is related with 4th revolution in the industry termed as Industry 4.0.The program was conducted in collaboration with HRDC Centre of the University under Pandit Madan Mohan Malaviya National Mission on Teachers and Teaching (PMMMNMTT) Scheme of MHRD, Govt of India. Prof. (Dr.) Adarshpal Vig, Director HRDC presided over. He emphasized on the importance of skill and continuous learning.  He stressed that a teacher must keep on learning throughout his life so as to guide the youth.Dr. Amit Chopra, Astt. Placement Officer welcomed the guests on this occasion. He further added that the program was very useful for the faculty members and research scholars. Later on certificates were also distributed to the participating members. This is to be noted that the University is one of the premium campus of TCS. The benefit offered to a premium campus are that most of the students get early joining. TCS is hiring maximum number of students from the University in North.Dr. Sandeep Sharma, Head, Computer Engineering & Technology Department presented the vote of thanks. The visit of senior leadership of multinational companies to the campus speaks of the quality of GNDU students and high demand in corporate world especially in IT sector. GNDU is now a favourite destination for multinational companies.
