Punjab Housing and Urban Development Minister Sukhbinder Singh Sarkaria on Monday chaired the District Grievances Redressal Committee meeting at Deputy Commissioner meeting hall here and directed all the department heads to resolve public grievances on a priority basis.Cabinet Minister accompanied by Deputy Commissioner Moga Sandeep Hans asked the officials to have a positive approach while redressing the grievances of the public that they won’t face any kind of hassle in the government offices.On the issue of faulty Ludhiana-Talwandi Bhai four-lane National highway, Deputy Commissioner Sandeep Hans informed the Minister that the National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) has sanctioned Rs 13 crores to the company entrusted to construct this highway and the pending works besides repairing of faulty roads will be done soon.The Cabinet Minister directed the Municipal Corporation authorities to resolve the problem of stray dogs and cattle in the city. Deputy Commissioner informed that the district administration is all set to start sterilisation of dogs, which will help to reduce the production of stray dogs. Cabinet Minister also directed Health officials to conduct sampling and raids in dairies and sweetshops to keep a vigil on the adulteration of various food items and milk products.On the issue raised regarding traffic hurdles at Subedar Joginder Chowk, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Amarjit Singh Bajwa assured the Cabinet Minister to resolve the issue as soon as possible.On the occasion, Chairman Improvement Trust Vinod Bansal, Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC General) Anita Darshi, ADC Development Subhash Chander, Sub-Divisional Magistrates (SDMs) including Narinder Singh Dhaliwal (Moga), Ram Singh (Nihal Singh Wala), Narinder Singh (Dharamkot) and Swaranjit Kaur (Baghapurana), besides committee members and other representatives of political parties were present.
