Srinagar administration sets up facilitation centre for filing GST returns

The Srinagar administration has set up a facilitation centre at SP Higher Secondary School at MA Road to enable taxpayers to file their Goods and Services Tax or GST Returns.Deputy Commissioner Srinagar Dr Shahid Iqbal Choudhary Saturday visited the centre to inspect its establishment and facilities made available there. National Informatics Centre officials accompanied him.On the occasion a trial run of the centre was held to ensure it is up and running with a functional internet connection.Thirty computer units have been made available at the centre to facilitate hassle-free availing of the facility. IT and NIC officials will also be available at the centre to help the users requiring assistance with filing their GST returns.The DC while speaking on the occasion said the facility will be available to users from tomorrow - December 8 - morning. He said it will open at 9 in the mornings and will be open until late in the evenings.The concerned Tehsildar has been asked to ensure smooth operation of the facility whereas the NIC has been asked to ensure full facilitation of users.
