The Punjab Government has decided to confer the Punjab State MSME Awards 2019 to the outstanding MSMEs who have registered tremendous business growth in investment, employment generation, turnover/ sales, energy efficiency, exports, employee’s welfare etc. for the financial years 2016-17 to 2018-19 and displayed excellence in product quality. These MSMEs will be honoured by the Chief Minister of Punjab with the cash award and a certificate on December 5, first day of the Progressive Punjab Investors Summit-2019 Summit slated to be held at Indian School of Business (ISB), Mohali.Disclosing this in press communiqué Mr. Sham Sunder Arora, Industry Minister said that State Government is taking all possible steps for the promotion and growth of Industry including the MSME sector. For the purpose, the State Government has launched a very attractive Punjab Industrial and Business Development Policy, 2017 offering various incentives for all sectors of Industry. He said that to further promote and showcase Punjab as an attractive and competitive destination for Industrial Investments, the State Government is holding the Progressive Punjab Investors Summit-2019 on December 5-6, 2019 at Indian School of Business (ISB), Mohali.The Industry Minister said that during the Summit, the State Govt. will honour the outstanding MSME entrepreneurs of different sectors like Agro & Food processing, Automobiles & Auto parts, Textiles, Engineering, Pharmaceuticals, IT & Electronics, Sports, Hand tools and Leather Industry to recognize their achievements and to encourage them to produce quality products for which the online applications were invited through press. State awards of amount Rs. 1 Lakh each and a Certificate shall be given to Micro/ Small and Medium Enterprises operating in the above said sectors.
Divulging the names of MSME who had been selected for state award Mr. Sham Sunder Arora said that under Agro & Food Processing sector for Micro & Small industry M/s Dhiman Foods Pvt. Limited, Distt. Jalandhar is selected whereas under Medium industry category award will be given to M/s Capital Feeds Pvt. Limited, Distt. Patiala. Likewise under Automobiles & Auto Parts sector for Micro & Small industry M/s Citizen Press Components, Ludhiana is selected whereas under Medium industry category award will be given to M/s Gilard Electronics Pvt. Limited, S.A.S Nagar. Similarly under Textiles sector for Micro & Small industry M/s Kudu Knit Process Pvt. Limited, Ludhiana is selected whereas under Medium industry category award will be given to M/s Duke Fashion (India) Limited. He said that under Engineering sector for Micro & Small industry M/s Crystal Electric Co. Pvt. Limited, Ludhiana is selected whereas under Medium industry category award will be given to M/s Bihari Lal Ispat Pvt. Limited, Village: Salani, District Fatehgarh Sahib. under Pharmaceuticals sector for Micro & Small industry M/s Consern Pharma Limited, Ludhiana is selected whereas under Medium industry category no application was received from award In Sports sector Micro & Small industry award is given to M/s Rattan Brothers, Jalandhar and under Medium industry category award is given to M/s Nivia Synthetics Pvt. Limited, Unit No.3, Jalandhar. In Hand Tools sector Micro & Small industry award is given to M/s Falcon Garden Tools Pvt. Limited, Ludhiana and under Medium industry category award is given to M/s Ajay Industries, Jalandhar. In Leather Industry sector Micro & Small industry award is given to M/s Sakay Overseas, Leather Complex, Jalandher and under Medium industry category no application was received for the award.The industry Minister said that The Government hopes that these MSME Awards will encourage and motivate other MSMEs for making investments and adopting innovative technologies for production of the quality products which in turn would help increase in revenue and employment generation which is need of the hour.
