DC Ganderbal reviews Panchayat Electoral Rolls, RDD’s performance

Deputy Commissioner, Ganderbal, Hashmat Ali Khan today reviewed progress of Annual summary revision of Panchayat Electoral Rolls 2019-20 at a meeting held here today.The meeting was attended by Deputy District Election Officer, CPO, EROs, AEROs, District Panchayat officer, BDOs and other concerned. Various points were discussed pertaining to progress on addition to Panchayat electoral rolls, removal of duplicity in the rolls, purification of electoral images, status of corrections and transposition.The DDC directed the concerned to collect House to House verification by PBLOs as per schedule of CEO, JK .He was informed that a special summary revision camps for enrolment of left out voters shall be organized on 7th and 8th of December, 2019.The DC, while interacting with the EROs and AEROs, exhorted upon them to focus on enrolment of new voters in the age group of 18-19 and to ensure hundred percent enrolments within stipulated time frame.At the same meeting, the DC also reviewed the progress on developmental works executed by the Rural Development Department in the district.The meeting discussed in detail about the status of works under MGNAREGA, 14th FC, PMAY, works under Convergence plan, progress on works taken under Back to Village- Phase I, etc.The DC sought block wise details about the progress of works under 14th F.C, Ist Phase besides action plan for 2nd phase. He was informed that 661 works are taken out of which several works are under execution besides technical sanction of majority works is also done.While reviewing the physical progress of works under Convergence Plan including construction of several Panchayat Ghar, the DC was informed that about 70 per cent works are done.Similarly, regarding status of works taken under B2V-I, the meeting was informed that 55 works are under executions which are at various stages of completion.
