Dr. Asgar Hassan Samoon launches Nationwide Artificial Insemination Programme at RCDC, Marh

Principal Secretary, Animal & Sheep Husbandry, Fisheries and Transport Department, Dr. Asgar Hassan Samoon today launched Nationwide Artificial Insemination Programme (NAIP) at Regional Cattle Development Centre (RCDC), Marh block.Dr. Samoon launched this ambitious programme during an awareness camp organized by RCDC of Animal Husbandry Department to create awareness among the farmers about various centrally sponsored schemes meant for their socio-economic emancipation.He highlighted several schemes like Dairy Entrepreneurship Development Scheme, Kissan Credit Card Scheme, Livestock Insurance under National Livestock Mission (NLM), Backyard Poultry Farming Scheme etc.He directed the officers of concerned departments to educate the farmers so that they can get benefit of subsidy under various schemes being implemented by the Animal & Sheep Husbandry department.

Later, Dr Samoon also launched the third round of Foot and Mouth Disease Control Programme (FMDCP) by administering vaccine to animals.Dr Samoon also visited various stalls established for the benefit of farmers besides distributing medicines and de-worming materials among the farmers, free of cost.Meanwhile, he also distributed 4G Tabs among the doctors for uploading all relevant information in respect of NAIP, Information Network for Animal Productivity and Health (INAPH), Livestock Insurance and other activities regarding various schemes.Dr Samoon stressed upon the local youth to set up their own ventures under various government schemes providing subsidy to them besides ensuring other requisite support to the beneficiaries.Among others, Joint Director Farms, Animal Husbandry Department, Dr Sunil Seru; Deputy Director Central, AHD, Dr Davinder Singh; Deputy Director Poultry, AHD, Dr Durga Das Dogra; Deputy Director, Sheep Husbandry, Dr Anil Koul; Veterinary Assistant Surgeon, Marh, Dr Sushil Kumar Sharma besides Sarpanch, Panchs and farmers were present on the occasion.
