Back to Village-2 in Shopian: Individuals, deputations raise developmental issues

’Back To Village” Programme (B2V2) was started today in 9 blocks of the district Shopian today.As many as 28 visiting officials were nominated for conducting the programme.  Assisting staff were deputed with the visiting officers to assist them during the programme in the first phase of B2V2. The officers will cover 28 Panchayat Halqas.On the occasion,  individuals and deputations from various areas put fourth various developmental issues which include footbridge, installation of electric poles, upgradation of schools, better road  connectivity, macadamization of roads and link roads, health centres, irrigation facilities, pending works of the areas, streets lights, repairs of lanes and drains etc. They also  raised the issue related to damage of orchards due to recent snowfall in the district.The major programmes were held at Zainapora, Balpora, Devipora,   Barbugh, Keller and  Kanjillura where designated officers held interaction with the public and representatives of Panchayati Raj Institutions.Later the officers on occasion listened to the grievances of  the people patiently and assured them that their genuine demands will be redressed at earliest.District Development Commissioner Shopian, Chaudhary Mohammad Yasin laid  foundation stone of 1x45 mtr span single lane truss Girder Bridge over Nallah Rambiara at Wachi Shopian coming up under an estimated cost of Rs 3.11 crore which will facilitate  20000 souls of the area. He also laid foundation stone of one link road at Ahanpora Wachi Shopian coming up at an estimated cost of Rs 25 lakh. He also inspected under  construction work of Hospital at Wachi and impressed upon the constructing agency for early completion of the hospital.Later DDC also inaugurated Government Primary School  Dobipora Block Zainapora, Shopian constructed by School Education wing Zainapora Shopian. The primary school was constructed at an estimated cost of Rs 16.57 lakh. He  also interacted with the people of Wachi and Zainapora and listened to their grievances and assured them that their long pending demands will be full filled at an earliest.DDC  was accompanied by SDM Zainapora, Visiting Officers and other district officers.Joint Director School Education Abid Hussain (Visiting Officer) alongwith officers also visited  Balapora Shopian.
