DDC Budgam reviews District Disaster Management Plan

District Development Commissioner, Budgam Tariq Hussain Ganai today convened a District Disaster Management Plan meeting.ADC Budgam, Mushtaq Ahmad Simnani, ASP Muneer Ahmad, JD Planning Budgam, Mohammad Rafiq Dar, ACD Nuzhat Qureshi, SDMs, CMO Budgam, Dr Nazeer, CEO Budgam, Fatima Tak and concerned officers attended the meeting.The DDC stressed for fool proof disaster management system and immediate procurement of requisite machinery for prompt disaster response besides landline service, wireless facilities must be made available at the centre.He directed the concerned to remain stationed at the EOC to ensure prompt response to manmade or natural disasters in the district.The DDC also reviewed the arrangements at designated Rehabilitation centers established across the district and directed Executive Engineer PDD to provide gensets for these centers.The DDC directed the concerned to conduct safety audits of the government buildings including hospitals and education institutions.He also directed for conducting mock drills and training programmes for volunteers for better disaster management system in the district.
