The grand light and sound being organized by the Punjab government here at the holy city to commemorate the 550th Parkash Purb of Sri Guru Nanak Dev ji continued to be the star attraction as the thousands of devotees today attended this mega event which showcase the life and philosophy of Sri Guru Nanak Dev ji through ultra modern techniques.Divisional Commissioner Mr. B Purushartha and District and Session Judge Mr. Kishor Kumar inaugurated the light and sound show on fifth day and said that this path breaking initiative of the state government was aimed at acquainting the younger generations of the state with the teachings of Sri Guru Nanak Dev ji by using the hi-end technology. He said that Punjab government in the state was leaving no stone unturned for perpetuating the glorious heritage of the state amongst the people especially the youngsters. He said that the show was a humble tribute to Sri Guru Nanak Dev ji by the state government adding that light and sound show beautifully projected Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji's philosophy in the form of his universal message to our society.He also said that through the show the ethos of tolerance, peace, communal harmony, women empowerment and protection of natural resources were brought alive. He said that Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji's efforts to promote social equality were also aptly showcased to the audience in right letter and spirit. He called upon the people to follow the teachings of the great Sikh Guru for carving out a harmonious society.Meanwhile, the spectacular light and sound show with Multi laser show, Grand 200 feet stage, Water curtain projection, Hydraulics on stage, Projection mapping with surround sound and others regaled the audience. Likewise, hundreds of theatre artists gave their live performances during the event.Renowned Kavishar Bhai Hardev Singh apprised the pilgrims about the life and philosophy of Guru Sahib through vaars and poems.
