Secretary Political to Punjab Chief Minister Captain Sandeep Sandhu today reviewed the arrangements for the mega event to commemorate the 550th parkash purb of Sri Guru Nanak Dev ji on November 12, in which Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh would participate along with other dignitaries.The Secretary Political, accompanied by Inspector General of Police Mr. Naunihal Singh, Deputy Commissioner Mr. DPS Kharbanda and Senior Superintendent of Police Mr. Satinder Singh, minutely the reviewed the arrangements for event in which bhog of Sehaj path of Sri Guru Granth Sahib would be held. He said that the ongoing religious functions being organized by the state government at the Guru Nanak Darbar (Main Pandal) in the holy city was a humble tribute to Sri Guru Nanak Dev ji, who had shown the path of love, passion and compassion to the entire humanity. Captain Sandhu said that the state government led by Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh was leaving no stone unturned to ensure that the 550thparkash purb of Sri Guru Nanak Dev ji was observed in an unsurpassed manner.The Secretary Political was briefed by the Inspector General of Police, Deputy Commissioner and the Senior Superintendent of Police about the foolproof arrangements made by the district administration to facilitate the pilgrims. He was informed that a viable mechanism has been devised for the smooth movement of traffic, parking of vehicles, provision of water supply, temporary urinals and other facilities for the devotees expected to come to holy city of Sultanpur Lodhi on November 12th. Meanwhile, Mr. Sandhu said that all the officers must make strenuous efforts to ensure the smooth and hassle free conduct of the event, which was a humble tribute to Sri Guru Nanak Dev ji.On the occasion Additional Deputy Commissioner Mr. Rahul Chaba and others were also present.
