Police hosts Range Level Talent Hunt competition

A Range Level Talent Hunt singing competition “Choona Hai Aasman 2019” was organized today by Police Department here under Civic Action Programme. In all 31 contestants from district Jammu, Samba and Kathua already selected by the concerned districts showcased their skill in solo singing.IGP Jammu Zone, Jammu, Mukesh Singh was the chief guest on the occasion.Among the contestants in 5 yr to 12 yr age group ,  Ayoush Singh,   Ridima Bajpai of Jammu and  Love Preet of Kathua were adjudged as 1st, 2nd, & 3rd respectively. In age group of 13 yr to 18 yr,  Amir Khan and Sahil of Kathua and Arpana Kumari of Jammu bagged first three position, respectively.Similarly Pankaj Kumar of Kathua,  Lalit and  Shubam Banerjee of Jammu were adjudged 1st , 2nd & 3rd in the age group 19 yrs to 25 yrs. The winners and runner up were presented cash reward/mementos alongwith certificates. The participation certificates were given to all contestants. Prof. Kalpana Kesar, Prof. Anupama Sharma & Harish Kaila were the jury members.Besides, prominent persons and senior functionaries from different departments, the event was witnessed by a large number of civil society and students of different schools. Danish Rana, IGP Armed/IR Jammu Zone, Tejinder Singh, SSP Jammu and Shakti Pathak, SSP Samba among other police officers also witnessed the programme.Shreya Gandral, winner of 2015 Choona Hain Aasman, was special Guest who presented the special item which was lauded by the audiences/other dignitaries with great applause. The programme was anchored by Shwetima from Mirchi 98.3FM, Rakesh Sambyal from PTTI Vijaypur and   Isha Mahajan from District Jammu. The programme was conducted under the guidance of Pawan Parihar, Staff Officer to DIG JSK Range.The programme was conducted under the overall supervision of Shri Vivek Gupta, Dy. Inspector General of Police Jammu Samba Kathua Range Hqrs. He presented the welcome address and apprised the gathering for purpose of the event, whereas Pawan Parihar, Staff Officer to DIG Jammu presented the vote of thanks.
