Diwali Festival-2019 celebrated at Guru Nanak Dev University

The festival of light, Diwali was celebrated with great enthusiasm by the Student Activities Club of Guru Nanak Dev University. Prof. Jaspal Singh Sandhu, Vice-Chancellor was the chief guest on this occasion. Prof. Geeta Hundal, In-charge of the Student Activity Club and convener, Harpreet Singh welcomed the chief guest and students.Vice Chancellor Prof. Sandhu congratulated the students on Diwali and said that our festivals provide the opportunity to celebrate the festivals together at University Campus by the students.. He said that our traditional festivals are vital part of our lives. He said that the University would provide all possible facilities and assistance to the students for encouraging these types of activities.On this occasion, students themselves organized food and other stalls. They also presented folk songs, songs, poems and folk dances. A large number of students from various departments were present to mark this occasion.
