100 percent disposal by DC office branches through E-Office

Deputy Commissioner Hoshiarpur Isha Kalia today reviewed the E-Office implementation in various branches of DC Office. Expressing satisfaction over the functioning of the new system adopted a month ago, she told that with the implementation if E-office on September 13, the physical movement of dak was stopped, receipts were got scanned at RIA branch  and their movement was started in electronic form between the branches. Some of the branches like peshi ADC, MA, DRA(T), planning, LFA, HRC and RRA have performed very well and their percentage of disposal has been nearly 100%. All employees of DC Office have adapted the new system of e-office in a very positive manner. As many as 588 files and 980 receipts were created,  while 4512 files and 2582 receipts were moved In last one month.She told that the in district Hoshiarpur e-Office implementation was started with identification of five pilot branches in year 2016. Computers and other Peripheral devices were given to pilot branches. Central registry Unit was established in RIA Branch to scan all the incoming dak. Networking was got done in all the branches of DC Office to provide uninterrupted network access to employees of all the branches.DC divulged that in September, 2019 E-Office Project was extended to all the branches of DC office. On September 13, 2019 all officials were sensitized and motivated on the use of E-Office. Email accounts of all the officials were created/activated on punjab.gov.in domain and e-office.punjab.gov.in.  She told that 7 Technical master trainers were appointed for smooth implementation of e-Office and branches were allocated to these trainers for hand holding support to respective branches.Deputy Commissioner informed that E-Office aims to support governance by ushering in more effective and transparent inter and intra-government processes. The vision of e-Office is to achieve a simplified, responsive, effective and transparent working of all government offices. It brings together the independent functions and systems under a single framework.
