Due to the strong, dynamic and able leadership provided by the Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, the World has recognised India as the Super Power and India has made tremendous progress in all spheres. This was stated by the Chief Minister Shri Jai Ram Thakur while addressing largely attended election rallies at Sangam Park Kotwali Bazar and Mandal in Dharamshala Assembly Constituency today in favour of BJP candidate Vishal Nehria for the Dharamshala bye- elections.Jai Ram Thakur said that Jan Dhan Yojna, Ayushmaan Bharat, Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojna, Ujjawala Yojna etc were a few Central schemes launched by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi,  which were proving a stepping stone for making a New India. He said that the State Government had launched Himcare Scheme to cover 22 lakh people who were not covered under Ayushmaan Bharat. Similarly, the State Government launched Grihini Suvidha Yojana to cover all the families not covered under Ujjawala Yojana, he added. He said that the State Government was endeavouring to make Himachal Pradesh a smoke free state of the country at the earliest. He said that the Union Government was also providing Rs 6000 per annum to the farmers besides announcing pension to the small traders.Chief Minister said that Sahara Yojna has been launched for providing relief to the families having a member suffering from serious illness. 

Under this Scheme, Rs 2000 was being provided per month for the better care of the patient, he added. He said that on the day one of assuming office the State Government lowered the age limit for availing the benefit of old age pension without income limit from 80 years to 70 years.Jai Ram Thakur said that the State Government was giving top priority for development of the Kangra district. Being the biggest district of the State, the Government was committed for giving due priority to the development of the district, he added. He said that that several tourism schemes were underway in Dharamshala. He said that the Dharamshala was being developed as a Smart City which would give big boost to development of the area. He said that Dharamshala has been selected for organising the Global Investors Meet on 7th and 8th November this year.Chief Minister said that Prime Minister has taken many historic decisions such as abrogation of Article 370 which was the root cause of the spread of terrorism and anti national activities in the Valley and this bold decision was possible due to a strong leadership, would open a new era of peace, progress and prosperity in the Jammu Kashmir area.Chief Minister urged the people of Dharamshala to vote in favour of the BJP candidate bye- elections as they would get a MP as well as a MLA from their area, which would boost the pace of development. He said people of Dharamshala gave the highest victory margin in terms of vote percentage to their leader Kishan Kapoor. Now they should repeat the same feat by electing Vishal Nehria as their MLA with record margin.Several families quit Congress and joined BJP on the occasion.
