MGNREGA Union calls off strike after meeting with Rural Development & Panchayat Minister

MGNREGA Union today called off their strike after meeting with the Rural Development & Panchayat Minister Tript Rajinder Singh Bajwa and senior officials of the department. Meeting was held at Camp office of the Rural Development & Panchayat Minister in which the MGNREGA Union members presented their demands before the Minister and the officials of the department. The Minister gave a long patient hearing to the demands. He assured the union members that the department would take appropriate action regarding the genuine demands and their demands would also be discussed at the Government level.The Rural Development & Panchayat Minister also assured the union members that the letters issued against the MGNREGA employees would be taken back.After the assurance from the Minister the MGNREGA Union immediately called off the strike and promised that they would put an extra effort to bring better results in the development works.Present in the meeting included Mr. Hardyial Singh Chatha Deputy Director Rural Development Department, Mr. Varinder Singh President MGNREGA Union, Amritpal Singh General Secretary union, Amrik Singh Press Secretary, Randhir Singh Senior Vice President, Harpinder Singh Vice President, Jagtar Singh Advisor, Raman Kumar, Sukhdev Singh and Varinderpal Singh.
