Div Com reviews winter stocking of essential commodities in Gurez, Kupwara snow bound areas

The Divisional Commissioner Kashmir Baseer Ahmed Khan today convened a meeting to review winter stocking of essential commodities in Gurez and snow bound areas of Kupwara district.It was informed that 11516.26 Qtls of normal rice have been dumped. Out of 5823.59 Qtls of Atta, 2930.59 Qtls have been dumped and the remaining quantity of Atta shall be dumped within three days. Out of 108000 ltrs of K. oil, 64000 ltrs have been dumped and the remaining 44000 ltrs shall be dumped in a week in Gurez area.In snow bound areas of Kupwara, out of 61660 Qtls of rice, 49900 Qtls have been dumped. However, for the Machil Keral, Budnamal, Jumagund & Kumkadi 100% winter dumping has been completed.The Divisional Commissioner directed the concerned officers the remaining quantity of essential commodities shall be dumped on the earmarked locations immediately in Gurez and Kupwara snow bound areas and after proper verification the Deputy commissioner concerned shall report about the advancement made in this regard to the Divisional Commissioner’s office at an earliest.Additional Commissioner Kashmir, Bilal Ahmed Bhat, Assistant Commissioner (Central) Prince Noor-ul-hamid, GM JKSRTC, Deputy Directors FCS & CA and other concerned officers were present in the meeting while Deputy Commissioners of the Bandipora & Kupwara participated in the meeting via video conferencing.
