DDC visits DH Budgam, sanctions Rs 10 lakh for infra upgradation

District Development Commissioner Budgam, Tariq Hussain Ganai today visited District Hospital Budgam wherein he inspected health services and patient care there.During the visit, the DDC while taking note of immediate requirements sanctioned Rs. 10 lakh for improvement of health related infrastructure and other basic needs.He directed R&B Department to immediately pick up the renovation works of the Hospital building.The DDC was accompanied by Incharge CMO Budgam Dr. A.G Raina, Exen, R&B, Asgar Wattali, MS Dr. Rafiq Ahmad, senior doctors and other concerned.The DDC urged hospital authorities to maintain sufficient stock of all blood groups and directed the concerned to expedite and complete the construction of laboratory block in time so that the facility is made functional at the earliest. He also inspected various wards including emergency, operation theatre, ECG and Post Operation wards, X-Ray Section, Blood Bank and met various patients and enquired about health facilities being provided to them. He listened to their grievances and gave on spot directions to the concerned for prompt redressal.Later, the DDC also interacted with a group of youth and appreciated them for volunteering for cleanliness and sanitation works in the district. The DDC said that volunteers of NGO Falcon along with hospital authorities would launch a special drive against use of plastic in and around the hospital.
