DDC Kupwara assesses quality of medical services at District Hospital

District Development Commissioner (DDC) Kupwara, Anshul Garg Tuesday paid a visit to the District Hospital Kupwara to take stock of the medical facilities being provided to the patients there.DDC was also accompanied by Additional Deputy Commissioner Kupwara, Farooq Ahmad Baba.During the visit, DDC interacted with patients and enquired about the quality of service being provided to them.DDC directed the sanitation officer to monitor all the activities of the staff to maintain proper sanitation in the hospital. He stressed upon the cleanliness of the wards and corridors and also directed that the colour coding for bed sheets is strictly followed in the hospital.While checking attendance, DDC stressed for punctuality of the staff and exhorted upon the officials to ensure that roster is strictly followed.Earlier, the DDC convened a meeting of concerned officers at District Hospital and passed on various directions for smooth functioning of the hospital. He directed MD JKPCC to ensure the installation of generator and complete the process of electrification including lighting facilities. DDC stressed for completion of handover takeover process of New Hospital building so that all the functioning of hospital and patient care will not suffer.DDC also took stock of pace of work in the hospital premises including fencing being executed by R&B department, where in he directed for completion of fencing within stipulated time frame.During the visit Executive Engineers of R&B, JKPCC, Chief Medical Officer, Block Medical Officer and other medical staff were also present.
