Dr Asghar Hassan Samoon reviews progress of languishing projects of AHD dept

Principal Secretary Animal, Sheep and Fisheries Department Dr Asghar Hassan Samoon today reviewed progress of various languishing projects of the departments.The meeting was attended by Director Animal Husbandry Kashmir Abdul Salam Mir, Director Finance Animal and Sheep Husbandry Department Zahoor Ahmed Wani, Director Planning, District officers of the Kashmir division besides officials of R&B, planning and Finance department.While seeking progress of the various languishing projects of the department, Dr Samoon asked the officials to formulate a roadmap for completion of every work and submit it to the administrative department.He laid stress on early completion of the projects in KunanBandipora, Machil, Shuetpura Kupwara, Kader Kulgam, Naranag Ganderbal, Gurez.Dr Samoon asked the officers to adhere to Detailed Project Report (DPR) specifications and maintain synergy with the officials of concerned executing agencies for early completion of the project.He also asked the officers of executing agencies to submit work done details to the concerned agencies for smooth release of funds.Highlighting the importance of these projects in strengthening infrastructure of livestock sector, Dr Samoon said government has already setup a dedicated fund for completion of public importance projects and livestock sector projects are one of the priority spending areas of government.He also stressed on the district officers to project major projects of public importance to the administrative department so that they can be submitted for funding.
