In Ferozepur message of POSHAN spreading through traditional folk art

In the border district of Ferozepur the message of Poshan Maah is reaching every household in an innovative and musical art form of Jaggo  through deft footwork, staccato claps and lively lyrics of "bale bai hun jaago ayi ae sahi poshan, poshtik phojan, da suneha ghar ghar pauhchaiye bai hun Jaggo ayi ae". The message is being carried by the anganwari workers and helpers with the active participation of the community by evoking memories and community celebration  and are trying to wake up the citizens for adopting & promoting the messages of Poshan Abhiyaan. Poshan Abhiyaan lays emphasis on first 1000 days of a child devepment , Poshtik Aahar, Anmeia Perevention, Diarrhoea management, and Hand wash & Sanitation. 

With the active guidance of Smt. Raji P. Shrivastava, Principal Secretary, Department of  Social Security & Women and Child Development, Punjab,  Gurpreet kaur  Sapra , Director, department of Women and Child Development,  Punjab,  Ferozepur has launched the Poshan Maah on 1st September with Oath taking ceremonies, Panchayat meeting, signature drive in every village of  district  Ferozepur .  On the 3rd day the district has undertaken Poshan rallies in 625 villages of the district with the messages of first 1000 days of the child,   Poshtik  Ahar, Diarrhea management, Anemia prevention,  and WASH (Water,  Sanitation, and Hygiene). 

 Sri Chander Gaind, I. A. S,  Deputy  Commissioner, Ferozepur  has informed that during the Poshan month special emphasis will be given  on Anemia Prevention, diarrohea Management,  and Sanitation & Hygiene in the district . He informed that that detailed activity calender has been prepared for all the  line departments  in the district and the activities will be carried out as per the calender . He also  informed  that Nutri  gardens will be developed in schools,  live cooking sessions with focus on traditional and local foods will be held and special drive for growth monitoring of pregnant women  and children will be carried out in month of September  in the district.

 Giving directions to all the departments Sri Chander Gaind, I. A. S,  Deputy  Commissioner, Ferozepur  said that the activities of the  poshan month should be uploaded on  every day on jan andolan dash board. He informed that district administrations Ferozepur plans to reach  thousands of  peoples for adopting and promoting the messages of poshan abhiyaan .
