Weekly public hearing: Advisor Sharma meets several delegations, individuals at Jammu

Advisor to Governor, Kewal Kumar Sharma, today listened to people’s grievances here at the weekly public hearing programme. He met scores of public delegations and individuals who apprised him about their issues and demands. Over 400 people comprising several delegations and individuals apprised the Advisor of their grievances and sought his intervention in ensuring redressal of the same in a time-bound manner. The Advisor instructed the concerned to take outcome based measures to meet the aspirations of the people.A delegation of Transport Nagar Association led by its Chairman Rahul Sahai projected several demands related to sanitation and drainage, blacktopping of roads, water leakage issue and other development issues of the area. Former MLC, Kashmira Singh   demanded   construction of a public park at Udheywala locality.A delegation of MBBS Students of SKIMS, Medical College, Srinagar apprised the Advisor about their examination related issue.A public delegation of Pernote area from Doda district requested the Advisor for his intervention in the allotment of funds for sanctioned Prem Nagar to Pernote road under languishing project, augmentation of lift drinking water supply scheme from Premnagar to Pernote.A delegation of inhabitants of RS Pura area led by Chairman Municipal Committee R S Pura Satpaul, along with several Councillors demanded 33 KVA direct electricity line from Miran Sahib and separate   power station facility for RS Pura town.

A delegation of All J&K Plus Two Lecturers’ Forum led by Deepak Sharma raised the issue of their time bound promotion. Hot Mix Plant Holder Association Jammu led by its President Sham Singh Jamwal raised their concerning issues. A joint delegation of residents of Bhawani Nagar, Puran Nagar, Vikas Lane, Rama Lane, Nitco Lane, Uno Lane and adjoining areas falling under electric substation of TT3, Gole Panjpeer  raised several issues pertaining to PDD.Sarpanch, Kirpalpur Charka projected the requirement for construction of panchayat ghar in the panchayat. 

The Advisor observed that every panchayat needs panchayat ghar and instructed the concerned to take necessary measures in this regard.Delegations of All Department J&K Workers Coordination Committee and All J&K National Youth Corps Association projected demands related to regularization of serves and release of their pending wages.A delegation of Irrigation and Flood Control Contactors’ Association apprised the Advisor about their pending payments and sought his intervention in resolving the matter.A delegation of Academic Arrangement Teachers of Higher Education raised their service related issue.An individual, Noor Alam of Purkhoo projected the demand for construction of Jawar to Tawa road.A deputation of inhabitants of village Pekhari and Ranjari, Vijaypur led by Sarpanch Sandhoor Singh raised the demand for sanctioning of funds for construction of a bridge in the area.Deputations of residents of Marh area, village Panjgrain, village Sandwan besides Sarpanchs from Samba led by Ravinder Singh, Sapranch, Dhar Dugnoo, Sushil Singh, Sarpanch Dhamal and Ritu Choudhary apprised the Advisor about various developmental issues of their area.Several other delegations and individuals also met the Advisor and registered their issues and demands pertaining to Public Works (R&B), PHE/I&FC, Power Development, Finance, Housing & Urban Development and Science & Technology and other departments besides other issues of  public importance.Advisor Sharma gave a patient hearing and assured the people that all their genuine grievances would be examined for early redressal. He also passed on spot instructions in few cases to concerned departments to look into the grievances and resolve them at the earliest.Responding to water supply related issues by various delegations, the Advisor said that the Governor’s Administration has set a target to provide tape water supply to every household.Senior functionaries of the concerned departments were also present at the public hearing.
