DC and MLA inspects newly plugged Jania breach

MLA Mr Hardev Singh Laddi and Deputy Commissioner Mr Varinder Kumar Sharma today reviewed the work of strengthening of the newly constructed ring bandh of boulders and sand bags at village Jania.The MLA and Deputy Commissioner, along with Superintendent Engineer Drainage Mr Manjit Singh who was supervising the entire work, inspected the work of plugging the breach at Jania village, which was completed today Morning. The MLA and Deputy Commissioner complimented the Army authorities and the Drainage department for accomplishing this gigantic task with the help of the MGNREGA workers and volunteers of the social and religious organisations. They said that this work would give a big respite to the people around the Dhussi bandh.They said that it was a matter of great pride and satisfaction that this work has been completed successfully. They also interacted with the Army jawans and the workers of the Drainage department and patted them for their stellar role in completing this task. The MLA and Deputy Commissioner said that by plugging this 500 feet breach in an unprecedented manner the Army jawans and Drainage department has set a new benchmark in public service.Later on the MLA and Deputy Commissioner also inspected the ongoing work to plug 400 feet wide breach at village Gatta Mandi Kaasu. They said that this work would also be accomplished soon.On the occasion Superintendent Engineer Mr Manjit Singh, Executive Engineers Mr Ajit Singh and Mr Kulwinder Singh apprised the MLA and Deputy Commissioner about the ongoing work.Prominent amongst others present on the occasion included Additional Deputy Commissioner Mr Kulwant Singh, Sub Divisional Magistrate Dr Charumita and others.
