DDC Ramban reviews progress under capex budget, functioning of departments

District Development Commissioner (DDC), Ramban,  Nazim Zai Khan today chaired a meeting of district and sectoral officers to review progress under district capex budget 2019-20 and  functioning of various departments.The meeting was attended by ADDC, Nawab Din, ACR, Harbans Lal, CPO Kasturi Lal, XENs of PHE, PWD, REW, PDD, CMO, CEO, CAHO, ACD, Manager Lead Bank, AD employment, ADs of  Planning and other district and sectoral officers.The DDC   reviewed physical and financial achievements made by Education, PWD, PHE, PDD, RDD,Health, Animal Husbandry, Forest and other departments under the district plan.The DDC directed the officers to generate awareness among the public regarding benefits of schemes of their respective departments launched by the government for the welfare of public. He directed officers to ensure public participation in formulation of development plans. The XEN PWD was directed to closely monitor the ongoing road and other project for ensuring quality of work besides preparing a building maintenance plan to ensure cleanliness, sanitation and protection of administrative complex.The DDC asked the ADDC Ramban to inspect MGNREGA works alongwith XENs of PHE and PWD department and submit the physical verification report on monthly basis.He directed the officers to summit the DPRs of all major projects to ensure progress and proper monitoring. Animal and Sheep husbandry departments were directed to adopt a hassle free mechanism while sponsoring loan cases for facilitating the beneficiaries.He also took a comprehensive review of PMAY-G and PMAY-U, National Rural Livelihood Mission implementation and construction of officers’ residential quarters.He also discussed various issues including construction of solid waste management plant for MCs of Ramban and Batote, development of sports infrastructure in district for overall development of youth, functioning of newly constructed girls hostel Kanthi, shifting of offices in administrative complex. He directed the construction agencies to expedite the progress on these vital works to ensure their timely completion. He asked the officers to put in extra efforts for judicious and effective utilization of funds besides removing bottlenecks hindering developmental works.
