Sant Nirankari Charitable Foundation Provides relief Measures To the Flood Affected In Sangli, Kolhapur and near by Areas

"Manav ko Manav ho Pyaara, Ek Doojhe ka bane Sahara", implementing the teachings of Nirankari Baba Hardev Singh Ji Maharaj, Sant Nirankari Mission is relentlessly providing service to those affected by devastating floods in Sangli, Kolhapur and surrounding areas of Maharashtra working in association and assisting the Govt. agencies.Through the Mumbai Regional branch,over the past few days have mobilized voluntary contributions from the Nirankari Devotees across the MMR and extended MMR survival kits including food items, clothing, bedding, medicines, utensils etc.and collected the same at their Sant Nirankari Satsang Bhawan, Chembur to be sent to help the people in distress. Zonal Incharge Shri Bhupendra Singh Chugh, Additional Zonal Incharge Smt. Sarabjit Shauk and Sewadal Kshetriya Sanchalaks Shri Lalit Dalvi and Shri Babubhai Panchal played a vital role in this move. 4 trucks carrying the relief supplies left for their designated destinations,today from the Chembur Satsang Bhawan. Nirankari devotees have once again demonstrated their Commitment and the Spirit of Service to All owing them to teachings and blessings of their Satguru Mata Sudiksha Ji Maharaj.

ROUND THE CLOCK SERVICES IN PROGRESS FROM DAY 1 OF THE NATURAL CALAMITY:

SANGLI

Recent heavy rains have effected lakhs of people in Sangli, Miraj, Palus, Shirala and hundreds of nearby villages of Sangli district. SantNirankariMandal,Sangli Branch sprung into action in close tandem with the Govt Agencies providing all the possible co-operation to help the victims, wholeheartedly. SantNirankari Charitable Foundation, the social wing of the Missionserved around 4000 citizens with two consecutive meals since August 6 till the flood water were receded, who have taken shelter in KWC College, VasantdadaKamgarBhawan, Malu High School, Rituraj Hall, KachchiBhavan School No. 29, 15, Lad School Vishrambagh, Rajmata College and Sangram Hall, Palus, Valava's School No.2, Khanapude, in the outskirts of Shirala,.Efforts were also made by the Sevadal volunteers of the Mission to save the people trapped in the water. The social workers of the region, Hon.MinisterSureshbhauKhade, MP SanjaykakaPatil, MLA SudhirGadgil and various other dignitaries who visited the site, have appreciated this impeccable services rendered by the SNCF.Apart from this the areas where the flood water has receded, sludge removal, sanitation, bedding, clothes, foodgrains and medicines are made available to the victims of villages like Devwadi, Bahe, Shirete, Bhawani Nagar, YedeMachindra, Khanapude, Amnapur etc.Under the guidance of Kshetriya Sanchalak of Nirankari Sewadal Shri Jagannath Nikalje, Sangli Sector Sanyojak Jalinder Jadhav, Shirala Sector Sanyojak Krishnadev Uthley, Sector Sanyojak of Khanapur Shri Datta Jagtap 1500 Sevadal volunteers from different branches in the District are providing their services day and night. After the flood water levels receded Cleanliness campaign is being carried out in close coordination with District and Local Authorities in Sangli City as well as several flood affected villages in the district. 

KOLHAPUR

Apart from Kolhapur city, many villages in the district were flooded due to this unprecedented flood calamity in Kolhapur district. In view of this harsh situation, continuous food and medical facilities were made available at Sant Nirankari Satsang Bhawans in the City and Gandhi Nagar. Milk for children and food packets for common citizens were distributed. All these services are being carried out under the guidance of Mr. Amar Lal, Regional In-charge of Kolhapur Zone of the Mission, Mr. ShahajiPatil, Regional Director of Seva Dal and Mr. ShripatiJadhav, local Mukhi of Kolhapur Branch.Under the aegis of SantNirankari Charitable Foundation, medical treatment and medicines were given to the motorists stuck in roads during the floods. This service was rendered by Dr. Rahul Gholap, Dr. ShivajiMagdum, Dr. NishantPandava, Dr. SachinJirge, also the Shiv Sena members VinodKhot, PandurangKhot, ShivajiKhot, Bharat Khot, Suresh Warke and citizens of KaneriWadi also contributed towards this relief measures.Apart from this, in the Tehsils of Gadhinglaj, Chandgad, Azra, Hatkanangale food and lodging arrangements were also provided on behalf of the Mission.A cleanliness campaign is started in close coordination with Kolhapur District Authorities. Shahupuri area is cleaned in the first. 

ICHALKARANJI

Due to the flood situation in some parts of Ichalkaranji, arrangements for residence, food and medical treatment and medicines were made for flood victims in SantNirankariSatsangBhawan, Industrial Estate, Ichalkaranji.In the Hoopari branch of Mandal near Ichalkaranji, arrangements were also made for the residence of the victims and food etc. in the local SatsangBhawan.

SATARA

In Satara District several vehicles were compelled to halt on Pune Bangluru Highway in Satara and nearby areas. The SantNirankari Charitable Foundation arranged for their stay and meals at SantNirankariSatsangBhawan, Umbraj. A cleanliness campaign was also driven wherever need in the District. Local Branches of SantNirankariMandal at Umbraj, Baramati, Phaltan, Khandala, Shirwal took part in the relief measures under the guidance of ShriNandkumarZambre, Zonal Incharge of the Mandal at Satara.Karad Branch of the Mission cleaned the Monument of great leader of Maharashtra ShriYashantraoChavan. They also distributed necessary material to the flood affected people. 

PANDHARPUR

In Pandharpur too, NirankariSevadal volunteers were helping the flood victims continuously taking the flood victims to safe places until the flood situation was normal. The necessary arrangements for stay and food for the flood victims were arranged at SantNirankariSatsangBhawan, Sangola Road, Pandharpur..

SAUNDALGA—KHILEGAON (KARNATAKA)

The local branches of Sant Nirankari Mandal at Saundalga, Nipani and Khilegaon in Karnataka state near Kolhapur, have provided food and drinking water to the flood victims under the banner of SNCF.
