DDC reviews implementation of developmental projects

District Development Commissioner, Dr. Piyush Singla today chaired 4th meeting with screening committee constituted for screening of public demands of all panchayats and resolution of issues raised during Back to Village Programme.Pertinently, the committee was constituted to prioritize the public demands in short term, midterm and long term category and suggest the resolution of these demands and source of funding. During the meeting, sector wise review was taken and concerned officers briefed about activities of their respective departments. It was that informed that some of the issues and demands have been resolved while the remaining issues are  being consolidated and prioritized on short mid and long term basis and will be  submitted to Government  for additional funding. DDC stressed upon the officers to adjust these demands in their current year plan and submit a consolidated list of sector wise projects for special funding.  DDC also took review of progress on ongoing languishing projects in the district. He exhorted upon the officers to expedite the work for timely completion.DDC also reviewed the progress on students enrolled during Back to School programme and directed the Education department to enroll them as per the government guidelines. DDC also issued instructions to all district officers to gear up efforts for timely completion of development projects being executed in the district besides ensuring 100% utilization of funds by the end of financial year 2019-20.
