ITDC Hands Over Fully Air Conditioned, Ventilated Ambulance Worth Rs. 20 Lakh To District Administration

Providing a fillip to the progress of healthcare services in the border district, the district administration on Wednesday received a new fully air conditioned and ventilated ambulance worth Rs. 20 Lakh. The deputy commissioner  Chander Gaind received the ambulance from the Indian Tourism development corporation, whose director Mr. Piyush Tiwari along with GM Mr. Suresh Chandra especially reached Ferozepur to hand over the keys of the new ambulance to the district administration.Divulging the details, Mr. Chander Gaind said that the ambulance is equipped with ventilator, oxygen, medication and suction facilities and aim at giving impetus to the healthcare services in the border district. The ambulance will be operated and maintained by the civil surgeon Ferozepur, who will recruit experienced staff to operate this new ambulance. The Deputy Commissioner then welcomed the Director ITDC Mr. Piyush Tiwari on his arrival at Ferozepur and especially expressed his gratitude for Punjab cadre IAS officer Ms. Ravneet Kaur, who is currently serving as MD ITDC, New Delhi.The civil surgeon Mr. Rajinder Kumar said that this ambulance will prove to be a boon for the much needed rural healthcare services as the ambulance to be stationed at sub-divisional hospital Zira. The ambulance will cater the people of Zira and other nearby areas.On the occasion Assistant Commissioner Mr. Ranjit Singh, Secretary Red Cross Society Mr. Ashoke Behal, Assistant secretary Home for the blinds Ferozepur Mr. Harish Monga, President Senior Citizen Forum Mr. S.P. Khera, NGO member Mr. A.C. Chawla, President S.W.S. Mr. Diwan Chand Sukhija and others were present.
