Cabinet Minister To Raise Issue Of Faulty Ludhiana-Moga Highway With Central Government

Punjab Housing and Urban Development Minister Sukhbinder Singh Sarkaria on Monday directed the officials of all the departments of Moga district to resolve public grievances on a priority basis.He accompanied by Moga MLA Dr Harjot Kamal and Dharamkot MLA Sukhjeet Singh Kaka Lohgarh was chairing a District Grievances Redressal Committee meeting at Deputy Commissioner meeting hall here on Monday. Deputy Commissioner Moga Sandeep Hans was also present in the meeting. Addressing the meeting, the Cabinet Minister asked the officials to have a positive approach while redressing the grievances of the public that they won’t face any kind of hassle in the government offices. He also announced to hold District Grievances Redressal Committee meeting every month.Regarding the issue of faulty Ludhiana-Moga National Highway raised by a member of Grievances Redressal Committee, Cabinet Minister said that he will take up the matter with the central government. He also issued directions to the police officials to register a case against the company, entrusted to construct the highway in case any fatal accident happens due to road undulations or any other faults.He directed the Municipal Corporation authorities to resolve the problem of stray dogs and cattle in the city and also asked them to get cleaned the sewerage lines ahead of monsoon.

On the complaint regarding bank accounts under the Mehla Rog Samti not being opened, Cabinet Minister ordered an inquiry into the matter. MLA Harjot Kamal and Sukhjeet Singh Kaka Lohgarh jointly raised problems being faced by the residents and requested the Cabinet Minister Sukhbinder Singh Sarkaria and officials to redress them at the earliest. On the issue raised regarding traffic hurdles at Subedar Joginder Chowk, Deputy Commissioner assured the Cabinet Minister to resolve the issue as soon as possible. Situated just outside the Bus Stand, Subedar Joginder Singh Chowk mostly remained jam-packed due to buses usually halt at the chowk to ferry passengers.On the occasion, Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC General) Anita Darshi, ADC Development Rajinder Batra, Assistant Commissioner (General) Lal Vishwas Bains, Sub-Divisional Magistrates (SDMs) including Mandeep Kaur (Nihal Singh Wala) and Swaranjit Kaur (Baghapurana), Superintendent of Police (Headquarters) Rattan Singh Brar and Civil Surgeon Moga Dr Jaspreet Kaur, besides the committee members and other representatives of political parties were present.
