The Health Minister of Kerala, K KShailaja met the Union Minister of Health & Family Welfare Dr. Harsh Vardhan, here today. They discussed the status and preparedness of the State for containment and management of Nipah Virus Disease. The Union Health Minister is reviewing the status regularly. He has assured Health Minister ofKerala all support from the Central government.The teams of experts from the Health Ministry and ICMR are already stationed in Kerala and are supporting the State in investigations and management of the NVD.The condition of one positive case is stable. There have been no new cases. The earlier seven suspected cases have been confirmed to be negative.
