Cooperation Minister inaugurates ‘Chhabeel’ organized by Markfed

The Markfed, a key institution of the Cooperative Sector, today organized a ‘Chhabeel’ at its Head Office in Sector-35. The langar of ‘Karah Prasad’ and ‘Chhole’ was also served  on the occasion. The ‘Chhabeel’ which is held every year was inaugurated by the Cooperation Minister, Punjab, S. Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa.In his address to the programme  to be telecast as part of 1st episode (To be telecast on 8th of June) of the Weekly TV and Radio Show of Markfed -‘Sohna Punjab’, the minister appreciated the efforts of the  Markfed employees. The minister also said that the martyrdom of Sri Guru Arjan Dev Ji is an inspiration for all of us to uphold human values. He further said that Guru Sahib  attained martyrdom for the sake of humanity and ‘Dharma’. S. Randhawa also exhorted the people to follow the path shown by Sri Guru Arjan Dev ji and follow his teachings.The Ardaas performed on the occasion was attended by the Registrar Cooperative Societies Mr. Vikas Garg, MD Markfed Mr. Varun Roojam, MD Punjab State Agricultural  Development Bank Mr. Charandev Singh Mann, MD Punjab State Cooperative Bank Dr. S.K. Batish, Additional MD Markfed (General) Mr. Rahul Gupta, Additional MD Mr. Bal  Mukand Sharma and Chief Manager (Personnel) Mr. Paramjit Singh.
