Dr. Sadhna Thakur urges to donate liberally towards Red Cross

Chairperson of the State Red Cross Hospital Welfare Section Dr. Sadhna Thakur while presiding over the meeting of the Hospital Welfare Section here today urged the people of the every section of the society to come forward in donating liberally towards the Section in service of the suffering humanity.She said that this year, three awards would be given to the members of the HP Red Cross Society for cent percent sale of the Red Cross coupons. She urged all the members to give their valuable contribution for serving the poor and needy persons as the Red Cross is a social organisation where active participation of every member is vital.Dr. Sadhna Thakur said that this year annual Red Cross fair would be organised in the month of June at the Ridge, Shimla in which various activities like presentation of cultural programmes by students of government schools, fancy dress, baby show, horse riding, skill game, dog show and orchestra would be included. Besides, the Tourism department and women organisations would put up the stalls of traditional Himachali and other Indian dishes.General Secretary, HP State Red Cross Society, Medical Superintendent, IGMCH Dr. Janak Thakur, CMO Dr. Neeraj Mittal, Secretary, HP Red Cross Society P.S Rana and other officer bearers were present in the meeting.
