Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur said that the Congress party will be completely wiped across the country in these Lok Sabha elections and once again the BJP government will be formed under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The Congress leaders have gone nervous and are giving ridiculous statements. He was addressing an election rally in favour of BJP candidate Anurag Thakur at Banera of Gagret Assembly constituency in district Una today.Jai Ram Thakur said that the Congress government at the centre compromised with the nation's security and adopted soft attitude against the terrorists as a result of which many terrorist attacks were made in the country resulting in to death of hundreds of people. In spite of this, the Congress government was unable to respond to terrorism whereas after terrorist attacks in Udi and Pulwama, the present Modi government responded through surgical and air strikes against the terrorists. He said that Modi Government has done historic work to end corruption and terrorism.The Chief Minister said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the foundation of a developed country has been laid and in the next five years, India will be the leading country of the world. 

The people of the country have made up the mind that Modi will be reinstated as the Prime Minister again. He said that Modi government has strengthened the country and today India has reached the top of the list of powerful countries. Throughout the country, the BJP is getting lot of support from the people and seeing this, the Congress leaders are baffled and are trying to mislead the people.He said that it is a matter of pride for Himachal Pradesh that Narendra Modi is familiar with every corner of the state and knows the development needs of the state well. He has special affection for Himachal and has released thousands of crores of rupees for various developmental projects during last five years. He said that the pace of development of the country should not stop and for this it is important that Narendra Modi should be made the Prime Minister again.Jai Ram Thakur said that BJP has promised in its manifesto that if the BJP government returns to power, then pension facilities will be provided to farmers over 60 years of age.The Chief Minister said that BJP candidate Anurag Thakur from Hamirpur parliamentary constituency is an experienced leader and well-acquainted with the aspirations of the people and has been raising the voice of the people of the state effectively in the Parliament.Cabinet Minister Virendra Kanwar, state BJP in-charge Mangal Pandey, MLA Rajesh Thakur and other leaders were also present on the occasion.Later, the Chief Minister also addressed public meetings at Basal and urged the people to ensure victory of BJP candidate with huge majority.
