Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur today said that Congress is insulting the people of millions of backward, Dalits and weaker sections of the country by raising the question over the caste of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The party is not able to accept a Prime Minister from poor and backward class background. He said the Congress is a feudalistic party in which there is no tradition of handing over the leadership to Dalits and backward classes.Jai Ram Thakur said that seeing the defeat in these Lok Sabha elections, the Congress leaders in utter desperation are trying to create a conflict in the society by playing the card of poison of casteism. The Congress strongly believes that only a person from one family can become the Prime Minister and it's unfortunate that the fake Gandhi family neither believes in democracy within the party nor on the constitutional posts. He said that Narendra Modi was born in a poor family of backward caste and reached the BJP's highest posts and then to the Prime Minister's post as the party has the internal democracy. The BJP is a party of common people and this is why in the last Lok Sabha elections, it got heavy public support to make Narendra Modi the Prime Minister by rising above the politics of caste-based distinction. The Congress is fearing of repeating the history during these elections and is not able to tolerate how a person from a backward caste can become the Prime Minister again. He advised the Congress leaders that instead of indulging in petty politics of casteism and feudalism and raising irrelevant issues, it should focus on the rights of the oppressed people of the society.
